EXISTENTIAL PSYCHOLOGY COLLABORATORY

Chase Gause

Chase Gause

Chase Gause is a second-year graduate student as of fall 2022 working with Dr. Joshua Hicks. He attended Bakersfield College and California State University, Bakersfield in his hometown of Bakersfield, California for his undergraduate degree where he minored in philosophy. His research interest so far is focused on better understanding ideas of the true self and authenticity as they apply to self and others, as well as the major factors central to these concepts. He is also broadly interested in how peoples’ relationships to systems like nature, humanity, and existential ideas about reality influence the scope and details of what it means to be truly oneself and the nuanced ways individuals find meaning within these networks.
